Domestic Violence Awareness
October 28

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month—Speak Up, Speak Out: Join us on Sunday, October 28th, in wearing purple, as we show unity against domestic violence. Organizations will be on hand in the Narthex to provide information on victim resources.  Various Domestic Awareness initiatives will take place throughout the month. Some of them include:
· Collection of full-size toiletries and other items needed for victim support. For a complete list of requested items, stop by the Member Services Station or go online at mtennon.org.
· Children’s Church Collection of items that will be used to furnish a comfortable space for children to await trial in the Sexual Assault, Child Abuse, and Family Violence Unit in the Maryland’s State’s Attorney’s office.  These items, such as games, stuffed animals, kid-sized seating, and toys, will be used to entertain the children during their wait.  For a complete list of requested items, stop by the Member Services Station, Children’s Church, or go online at mtennon.org.
· Youth Church Real Talk Session on Teen Domestic Violence
· Speak-up, Speak Out Solidarity Pledge
