Membership at Mt. Ennon consists of persons who believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who expresses a regenerate heart, confession of faith, completes the required new orientation membership class.
There are four ways one can join the Mt. Ennon Baptist Church:
1. Profession of Faith and Baptism - Professes faith in Jesus Christ and baptism by immersion, except in those cases where it is determined that it is medically or physically inadvisable for the individual to be immersed.
2. Letter - Submission of a letter of recommendation or accomodation from a Christian church. The letter must carry the signature of the Pastor and the Church Clerk or Church Secretary. In the absence of the Pastor an authorized Church official and the Church Clerk/Church Secretary must sign the letter.
3. Restoration - A person who for whatever reason became an inactive member or whose membership was terminated my be restored to active membership following 1) an initial statement (verbal or written) requesting restoration, 2) at least one meeting with the Pastor or the Pator's designee, a deacon and a deaconess, and 3) the recommendation of the Pastor said deacon and deaconess to to Church Clerk who shall update the membership roll.
4.Watchcare - A person who is a member of another Christian church and sojourning in this community may be received into fellowship of this church for Watchcare for a period not to exceed one year. The period of Watchcare can be renewed by written request made to the church.
Upon joining Mt. Ennon, one must complete the New Member Orientation class. After completion of the class, the person will be extended the "Right Hand of Fellowship". (Baptism will also have taken place, if applicable).
