Vacation Bible School

2019 Vacation Bible Camp
Monday, July 8 - Friday, July 12, 2019

Join us this year for an exciting week of spiritual development, academic enrichment and summer fun! Our theme, ROAR: Life is Wild, God is Good!, will take students on a journey where they will learn about the depths of God's love for us and learn how to trust Him completely when life gets wild! VBS sessions will be held each morning from 9 am until 10:30 am (Session I) and 10:45 am until noon (Session II).

Participants may choose one of the following afternoon summer camp programs:

Basketball Camp

Students will learn the fundamentals of the game while enhancing their on-the-court skills, developing healthy habits and social skills including sportsmanship and team building. The basketball camp will be presented by ABC Fitness in the Harambee Wing. An exhibition basketball game will be held Friday, July 12 to allow students to display their skills.

Arts Camps

Dance: Participants will learn beginning ballet, jazz and modern dance with the Horton technique. Our dance camp will be lead by Candace Foreman. an Onstage Performing Arts Collective member and dance instructor.

Theater: Participants will be inspired to pursue their passion for music and drama through a theater workshop led by an accomplished theatre performer, Brittany Johnson.

A combined theater and dance presentation will be presented to the camp Friday, July 12.
Visual Arts: Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of sketching, drawing and painting. Our visual arts program will be led by local artist, Gen Fraser. Selected works of art will be displayed Friday, July 12.

Activities

To round out the fun, participants will enjoy food, fun and fitness at Vacation Bible Camp Skate Party, Wednesday, July 10, 2019. The activity will take place at Skate Zone in Crofton, MD from noon until 5 pm.

Registration Fees

Fees include participation in the morning VBS program, one specialized afternoon camp per child, all materials and supplies, afternoon group activities, Wednesday's skate party (admission, lunch, skate rental and goodie bags at Skate Zone), breakfast Monday through Friday) and Friday's picnic-style lunch.
