Tips for Taping

Tips for Preparing for Taping Session

1. Dress appropriately:

  • Choose solid-colored clothing, as they tend to look better on camera. Colors such as blues, greens, purples, or warm neutrals like beige or gray are good options.
  • Avoid clothing with busy patterns or intricate designs, as they can be distracting on camera.
  • Choose clothing that allows you to move freely and feel at ease during the recording.
  • Accessorize mindfully, ensuring the accessories you wear isn’t a distraction.

2. Review questions or instructions:

  • Carefully read and review any interview questions or instructions provided by the Media Team.
  • While reviewing the questions, think of highlights and specific examples, experiences, or lessons learned that are unique to your journey and will resonate with others.

3. Hydration is key: Drink plenty of water on the day of the recording. Staying hydrated can help keep your voice clear and prevent dry mouth.

4. Relaxation techniques: Take some time before the recording to relax and calm your nerves. Deep breathing exercises, mindfulness, or listening to calming music can help you feel more at ease.

Remember that the Media Team will be there to guide and support you through the process.
